Workshop Description
In this workshop, we will present you with a skit of a legislative public hearing. This skit will show you how you can be
a part of that legislative process You will see how sharing your lived experiences will give the legislators a betterinformed
ability to make decisions with this input during these important times of laws being changed or put into place.
Learn how to be empowered as you become an informing part of the process of change affecting you and those
around you. We will provide you with handouts on how to access resources and supports to write testimonies, where
to go to learn what bills the legislators are looking at, as well as tours of your statehouse and more. Legislators (past
and present) will be available for a Q & A portion of this workshop.
